Call for proposals for the monitoring of the anticorruption action plans of the National Integrity and Anticorruption Strategy

UNDP is launching the second round of the call for proposals for NGOs to monitor the implementation of the local and sectorial anticorruption action plans adopted under the National Integrity and Anticorruption Strategy (NIAS) for 2017-2020. The call is part of the “Curbing Corruption by Building Sustainable Integrity in the Republic of Moldova” Project, implemented by UNDP with the financial support of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The total maximum amount which can be requested by the applicants should not exceed US$10,000 for project proposals that refer to the monitoring of local anticorruption action plans and $15,000 for the project proposals that refer to the monitoring of sectorial anticorruption action plans. Monitoring results will be included in the shadow reports which will be presented to the relevant authorities, development partners and to the general public.

The eligible proposals will plan to carry out the monitoring and alternative evaluation activities of local or sectorial anticorruption action plans - for the customs, agriculture, environmental protection sectors (except for the sectors and administrative-territorial units monitored in 2019). The deadline for submission of proposals is 5th of May 2020, 4:00 p.m. The winners will be announced on the web page of UNDP Moldova.

The NGOs selected in the first cycle of the call for proposals developed alternative monitoring reports of five sectorial anticorruption plans (in the sectors of administration and de-etatization of public property, public order, education, health and medical insurance, public procurement) and ten local anticorruption plans (in the districts of Falesti, Donduseni, Singerei, Cahul, Leova, Basarabeasca, Cantemir, Cimișlia, Balti municipality and Găgăuzia region).

“Curbing Corruption by Building Sustainable Integrity in the Republic of Moldova” Project is implemented by the UNDP in partnership with the National Anticorruption Centre and the Ombudsperson Office, with the financial support of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project, implemented during 2019-2021, contributes to developing capacities of the stakeholders from the public and private sectors, as well as from the civil society organizations, for the efficient implementation of corruption prevention tools and standards.
