“Tekwill in every school” is a complex program of online extracurricular courses (initially covering IT subjects exclusively), which aims to develop children’ skills to be better prepared for tomorrow’s professions. The initiative provides for the development of more free content in priority areas, accessible to all general secondary education institutions in the Republic of Moldova.

It includes several digital and innovative educational courses and resources, dedicated to students aged from 13 to 19 years and their teachers. Thus, “Tekwill in every school” aims to transform education in RM, both by developing interactive digital content and by introducing new methodologies in the teaching and learning process of educational institutions: blended learning and flipped classroom.

The courses will be available to be studied both independently and guided by a teacher in the classroom, by introducing them in educational institutions as optional subjects. With the help of the courses offered, students will have the opportunity to cultivate critical thinking, develop creativity and improve interpersonal communication skills.

Creating the courses was possible by mobilizing the financial efforts of the private sector and citizens in the country and the diaspora (under the crowdfunding campaign TwentyTu, which took place in 2018), as well as external development partners – UNDP Moldova, USAID, Sweden. Their support was provided through the “Development of Moldova ICT Excellence Centre Tekwill” project, implemented by the National Association of ICT Companies. The project also enjoys the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, this partnership being based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed on June 14, 2018.
