GoOnline: European Union supports small and medium enterprises from the left bank of the Nistru river to transfer their sales online

15 companies from the left bank of the Nistru river will have webpages to be developed within GoOnline platform, supported by the European Union through the EU Confidence Building Measures Programme, implemented by UNDP.

GoOnline will offer to the applicants a set of digital services, including the development of a web page, branding, communication, design and social media management. All these tools, developed in less than one month, will help the entrepreneurs to get closer to their clients and adapt to the new realities imposed by the pandemic crisis.  

“It is very important for us to support the entrepreneurs facing difficulties related to business digitalization and to suggest them complex solutions for development. We are glad to become partners of the GoOnline Program and to support business development on the left bank of the River Nistru,” notes Zinaida Emelianova, Director of Agency for Innovation and Development CSO from Tiraspol.

Over the next three months, applications to benefit from the digital services may be submitted by specialized enterprises in the field of: production of decoration items, wine-making, tourism, light industry, agriculture, bakery products, furniture production, children toys’ production, shoes’ manufacturing, creative services, such as animation creation, video, performances, events, teaching foreign languages, etc.

The platform is also open for companies or free-lance professionals from creative industry providing digital services, such as IT, marketing, communication, design, business development, payment integration, logistics, and delivery.

“The EU Support to Confidence Building Measures Programme facilitates equal and fair access to economic opportunities on both banks of the Nistru river, through digital transformation of business, helping them to become resilient including to COVID-crisis induced disruptions,” says Elena Cabac, Project Coordinator in the EU “Confidence Building Measures” Programme, implemented by UNDP.

To benefit from the services of the GoOnline platform, the companies and experts should apply on the web page goonline.md. The cost for the digital services is covered by the EU programme.

During April – August, 60 enterprises have benefited from support for developing online displays, visual identities, pages on Facebook and Instagram, or for connecting to e-payment systems. 

GoOnline embeds an educational component as well, by conducting regular webinars with e-commerce experts. The events are announced on the Facebook pages of GoOnline and Agency Innovation.

“GoOnline Program was launched by Artcor as a response to the crises caused by COVID-19. It was extremely important to offer, on one hand, a digital emergency help to SMEs affected by pandemic, and, on the other, to build cooperation opportunities for digital agencies,” says Viorica Cerbușca, director of Artcor center and coordinator of GoOnline program.

GoOnline is a project initiated by the Association of Creative Industry Companies in Moldova and implemented by the Center of Creative Industries Artcor. The platform was launched in April 2020 and is supported by Moldova Competitiveness Project, financed by USAID, Sweden and UK; Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in the framework of the project “Optim – opportunities through technologies and innovations in Moldova” implemented by HELVETAS Swiss Inter-cooperation, and the Investments Agency of the Republic of Moldova, Organization for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, EU Confidence Building Measures Programme, financed by European Union and implemented by UNDP.
