The report on the territorial administrative structure options for the Republic of Moldova examines the problems related to territorial administrative fragmentation, presents three options for improving the territorial administrative structure, and evaluates their impact. Scenarios for reform are briefly presented in the Conclusions section. This report was elaborated in the framework of the Joint Integrated Local Development Programme which is implemented by the Government of the Republic of Moldova with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), and with financial support from the Governments of Denmark and Sweden.
