Equal access for all to polling stations

Aug 14, 2019

The study "Equal access for all to polling stations" represents an audit of the accessibility of the polling stations, carried out by the INFONET Alliance and its partners, under the “Enhancing democracy in Moldova through inclusive and transparent elections” Project, implemented by UNDP Moldova with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the British Embassy in Chisinau through the Good Governance Fund and by the Embassy of Netherlands through Matra Programme.

The study presents the degree of accessibility in 612 polling stations in six key regions: Edinet, Hincesti, Causeni, Chisinau and Balti and UTA Gagauzia districts. This number represents over 30 percent of the public buildings in which polling stations are usually organized at elections held in the Republic of Moldova.
