"Make apples cool!" is the initiative aimed at collecting funds for the distribution of fresh, sliced apple snacks in educational institutions of ChisinauMay 27, 2016The campaign "Make apples cool!" was launched today – initiative having as objective to mobilize funds for a pilot project aiming to increase gradually the fresh fruit consumption by children and students in kindergartens and schools. At this stage, the pilot will cover 5 schools and kindergartens in Chisinau that will be selected on a competition basis. Thus, throughout the school year, more than 2,000 children will benefit daily from sliced, fresh apple snacks, delivered in an attractive package. To note, the World Health Organization reports that only two thirds of children eat the amount of fruits recommended for daily consumption.
